River Forest entered the GIS Consortium with the goal of efficient GIS project management, increased consistency in data creation and maintenance, and confidence in the accuracy of their GIS data. With this increase in quality data, GIS will be able to help analyze historical data on village structures to support Capital Improvement Project tracking. River Forest joined the GIS Consortium in 2015.
